I am sure all my friends here are aware that I am a MAN UTD fan( not a manu fan!!!).........This is the picture of the latest home kit. It would be used for the upcoming season. It celebrates the 100 years of Old Trafford( and scousers say we don't have history..ha).
Well the balck chevron on the chest was used, to make the unifroms look similar to the uniforms then used...if my memory serves me right the difference was that then a white chevron was used.
The kit looks good, but here's food for thought. Only five players have been clicked with the new uniform as of yet. I know more would be clicked but who decides which player would be clicked first?
Market stategies?? not far away from being wrong i guess.
Wayne Rooney will always be where Manutd is, he is the face of Manutd( and not Ronaldo, no doubt a great player but Manutd wasnt his dream Real was..for Rooney red devils are and hence he is the face of Man Utd). His attitude "Try till I die" is something Red devils always liked and being the perfect team player he will always remain the crowd favorite.
Rio!!, he has been making his reputation as a leader on the pitch, our club captain Gazza has been injured for a while and hasn't had an injury free season for a while, and giggsy coming nearer to the flag end of his glorious career I am sure he is seen as a team leader and club captain by the management and the fans, so that explains his presence
The most surprising inclusion ( surprisings for non ManUtd supporters) Park. Except for the champions league final, Park has performed well in every match he has played. He runs the length and breadth of the field tirelessly( no wonder he is called the three lung park). But just having a good season, was that the reason why he was selected?. The reason, like I said earlier, is marketing strategies. Red Devils have a huge fan base in South east Asia, the Korean is a big star in this part of the continent, looks like a marriage made in heaven!! ( But lemme add I do not doubt the capabilities of Park, he has had an outstanding season).
I don't know why giggsy and scholsey were not shot in this new uniform ( they are my favorite players) but I am dying to see them wear it, may be I have to wait for some time.
But I love the kit and am sure it will push players to perform better this season ( what can be better than this!!)
PS: Evra looks like a bouncer in the kit, ha..he is gonna kick a** of all the party poopers ( Read wingers and strikers!!
